Vital Metabolic was founded on a simple belief: comprehensive metabolic care should not cost a fortune. Dr. Yousuf Ahmed built this clinic so that patients without great insurance — or any insurance at all — could still access board-certified, science-driven weight loss medicine at a price that is actually fair.
We are a cash-pay only clinic — no insurance accepted. Your visit, body composition scan, medication, and personalized plan are covered under a single transparent price. Lab work is available at an additional fee and will be discussed with you before ordering.
Since 2007, Dr. Ahmed has been a trusted name in Montgomery County — serving patients and their families across generations.
No insurance? No problem. We are cash-pay by design — so you always know exactly what you will pay before you walk in.
BMI, body composition, and labs — your plan is built on your actual numbers, not assumptions or generic templates.
Dr. Yousuf Ahmed is a dual board-certified physician with nearly two decades of clinical experience in Conroe, Texas. He founded Vital Metabolic to bring comprehensive, affordable metabolic care to patients who have been underserved by traditional healthcare — delivering real science, real data, and real results without the insurance runaround.
Every treatment plan begins with a thorough evaluation — labs, body composition, medical history, and personal goals. Nothing is templated. Nothing is guessed. Dr. Ahmed oversees every patient personally from first visit through ongoing care.
The health consequences of obesity affect people at every age — and they compound over time. These are the numbers your doctor should be talking to you about.
No generic advice. Every plan we create starts with your body — your BMI, your body composition, your goals. We combine clinical data with real-world lifestyle to build a plan you can actually follow.
Low growth hormone and low testosterone are two of the most overlooked causes of weight gain, fatigue, and muscle loss in adults under 40. These services are coming soon — contact us to be notified when available.
Sermorelin is a growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analog. Rather than injecting synthetic growth hormone directly, sermorelin signals your own pituitary gland to produce more natural growth hormone — a safer, more physiologic approach.
We test your IGF-1 (growth hormone marker) at your initial visit. If levels are suboptimal, we prescribe sermorelin as a subcutaneous injection — typically given nightly before bed. Levels are rechecked every 3 months and dose is adjusted based on your results and body composition changes.
Low testosterone isn't just a men's issue. Women in their 20s and 30s can have suboptimal testosterone levels that cause fatigue, weight gain, low libido, depression, and muscle loss. We test total and free testosterone and design therapy that fits your biology.
Women naturally have lower testosterone than men, but still depend on it for energy, muscle tone, libido, and mood. Low-dose testosterone therapy in women is often dramatically effective — and is frequently missed or dismissed by conventional doctors. We test free and total testosterone as part of your initial labs.
We check total testosterone, free testosterone, estradiol, hematocrit, and PSA (men) at baseline and every 3 months. Dose is carefully titrated to keep you in the optimal range — not just "normal," but optimal for your age and goals.
For patients who qualify, combining sermorelin with testosterone therapy can produce synergistic results — accelerating fat loss, building lean muscle, improving energy, and enhancing the effects of GLP-1. We evaluate you for both at your first visit and design a protocol based on your labs and goals.
These injectable vitamins are optional add-ons available at your visit — ask about pricing when you come in. Injections bypass the gut entirely for maximum absorption, and are especially recommended for patients on GLP-1 therapy who eat and absorb less.
We never guess. Your initial comprehensive labs include B12, thiamine, and other key nutrient markers. Injections are recommended based on your actual deficiencies — not as a blanket upsell. NAD+ therapy is available and discussed at your visit based on your goals and budget.

Some therapies offered at Vital Metabolic — including Sermorelin, Testosterone (in women), and certain peptides — may be prescribed for uses not specifically approved by the FDA ("off-label"). Off-label prescribing is a legal and common medical practice. All off-label treatments at this clinic are supported by clinical evidence, prescribed by a board-certified physician, and fully disclosed to patients prior to initiation.
Certain medications prescribed at Vital Metabolic, including Sermorelin and some peptides, are prepared by FDA-registered compounding pharmacies. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved finished drug products but are legally prepared under Section 503A/503B of the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act. Patients will be informed and will provide written consent before receiving any compounded medication.
All patients at Vital Metabolic are required to provide written informed consent before beginning any treatment. This includes a discussion of the treatment's purpose, benefits, risks, alternatives, and monitoring plan. Consent is obtained in person at your initial visit. You have the right to ask questions, decline any treatment, or discontinue at any time.
Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance. Its prescription and dispensing is governed by the DEA and state pharmacy regulations. Vital Metabolic complies fully with all federal and Texas state laws governing controlled substance prescribing, documentation, and monitoring. Testosterone therapy requires ongoing lab monitoring and cannot be prescribed without an in-person evaluation.
Vital Metabolic is a cash-pay only clinic. We do not bill insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. By paying directly, patients receive transparent pricing with no surprise charges. Some treatments — including off-label therapies — may not be covered by insurance regardless of provider. We can provide receipts for patients who wish to submit for out-of-network reimbursement at their own discretion.
